Gorch-Fock-Mole – the former Tirpitzmole
The Gorch-Fock-Mole is a pier in the Kiel-Wik naval base in Schleswig-Holstein, the home port and berth of the sailing training ship Gorch Fock.
In April 2021 it was decided to rename the naval base Tirpitzhafen Kiel to naval base Kiel-Wik. The Gorch-Fock-Mole or the name of the mole, where the berth of the Gorch Fock is located, among other things, has existed since April 2021. The mole in question at the Kiel naval base was previously called the Tirpitzmole. In this connection there was another name change. The Scheermole was renamed Oskar-Kusch-Mole.
