Sculpture Wind-Light-Object at Lorentzendamm

The wind-light object on Lorentzendamm in front of the main building of the Förde Sparkasse is an approximately 8 meter high sculpture made of stainless steel.

The artwork is located on the small green area between Förde Sparkasse, Lorentzendamm, Bergstrasse and Kleiner Kiel and was commissioned by Förde Sparkasse for the 1972 Summer Olympics. The two artists Herrmann Göpfert and Johannes Peter Hölzinger were commissioned to create a sculpture. The object was completed in 1971 and consists of numerous stainless steel elements of different sizes. Incident light on the wind light object is reflected in all directions.
