First call at the end of the year: 236-meter ship Spirit of Discovery ends the 2023 cruise season in Kiel on December 29th, 2023.
The 236 meter long Spirit of Discovery from the British shipping company Saga Cruises moored at the Ostseekai Kiel on Friday morning. For the Saga cruise ship it is the very first visit to Kiel and for the port of Kiel, the visit of the Spirit of Discovery is also the last cruise ship in 2023 and the end of a very successful cruise season with new record values in terms of the number of cruise ships and cruise passengers arriving.
This is where the Spirit of Discovery lies at its berth at Kiel’s Ostseekai in the morning, around an hour after arriving in the port of Kiel. The ship reached the port of Kiel at around 7:20 a.m. At 5 p.m. the ship left Kiel again for Denmark.

The Spirit of Discovery is a cruise ship owned by the British shipping company Saga Cruises. The ship is 236.7 meters long, 31.2 meters wide and has a measurement of 58,119 GT. The Spirit of Discovery was launched on May 12, 2019.
