Open on the four Advent weekends on Saturday and Sunday: The traditional Christmas market at Gut Augustenhof near Osdorf, around 15 kilometers from Kiel.

There are also wonderful Christmas markets in the area around Kiel. Like the traditional Christmas market at Gut Augustenhof in the Rendsburg-Eckernförde district between Gettorf and Osdorf. The Christmas market on the estate has a lot more to offer than just mulled wine, bratwurst and Christmas items. The barns are beautifully decorated and around 40 exhibitors offer handmade, decorative items, Christmas decorations and culinary delights, many of them directly from the region.

Of course there is also the possibility to buy a Christmas tree at the Gut Augustenhof Christmas market. Either one of the trees that stand in front of the barns. Or you can drive a small tractor into the Christmas tree conservation area, choose a tree and cut it down. A saw will of course be provided. If you want to choose your own Christmas tree, you should also wear appropriate shoes and clothing.
