On Wednesday at 5 p.m. the time had finally come: the 1st Stadtwerke Roller Festival in Kiel was opened. After the annual Kiel Ice Festival with a large ice rink for around 20 years, you now need roller skates or inline skates instead of ice skates. Because a large ice rink would have to be cooled in an energy-intensive manner, it was decided early on that there would be no ice rink, no ice festival and no ice skating in 2022. But roller skating at the 1st Kiel Roller Festival at the Ostseekai is at least as much fun.
The Stadtwerke Roller Festival will take place from November 16, 2022 to January 15, 2023. The almost 400 square meter rink directly at the Ostseekai is open daily (except Christmas Eve and New Year) and is located in a large tent in the same place as the Stadtwerke Kiel Ice Festival last year.
