Visiting the Kiel Christmas markets 2023: It’s finally that time again, the Christmas markets in Kiel have been open again since November 27th!

The four Christmas markets in Kiel on Holstenplatz, Rathausplatz, Asmus-Bremer-Platz and Bernhard-Minetti-Platz have been open since Monday, November 27th, 2023. Every day from 11 a.m. you can enjoy a mulled wine or another hot drink at your favorite stand. Most of the stands and huts are in the same location as in previous years. So if you have one or more favorites at the Kiel Christmas market, you can get to the stand of your choice practically without detours. For example, you will find the Tallinn stand and the Feuerzangenbowle stand, as always, on Holstenplatz. Glögg Hus and the Forstbaumschule hut are of course back on the town hall square, Kiel’s Christmas village.

And Ki(e)lian’s gnome flight in his Christmas cog will take place again on the town hall square. Every day at 4, 6 and 7.30 p.m. you can see the flying gnome in the Kiel Christmas village on the town hall square.

There is a small change this year on Bernhard-Minettii-Platz, the smallest of Kiel’s Christmas markets. This year there is a large mill where the large Christmas pyramid always stood in previous years.

All four Christmas markets in Kiel are open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. from November 27th, 2023 to December 23rd, 2023, and until 10 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
