Elf magic and a fairytale winter world in Kiel. Between the end of November and December 23, Kiel’s town hall square is transformed into the Kiel Christmas Village.

The Kiel Christmas village offers, among other things, two large taverns and numerous huts, all in Nordic design. There are Feuerzangenbowle, Glögg, Nordic delicatessen specialties and much more at the stands. In addition, there are of course Christmas gift ideas, jewelery and Nordic handicrafts in the Kiel Christmas Village.

The highlight in the Kiel Christmas Village on the Rathausplatz is without a doubt the airship. Here the Christmas elf Kielian flies up to the town hall tower on a wire rope. Gnome Kilian flies three times a day (at 4 p.m., 6 p.m. and 7.30 p.m.) in his mini cog, pulled by six reindeer, over the Kiel Christmas Village on the Rathausplatz.

The Kiel Christmas Village is open Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.
