Stohl steep coast in spring 2019 – A sunny April weekend is perfect for a walk along the Stohl steep coast of the Baltic Sea north of Kiel.
Do you love the sea? And you like cliffs? You can get both just a few kilometers north of Kiel on the Stohl cliffs between Kiel and Eckernförde. It takes about 20 minutes by car from Kiel to the car park next to the cliff. Then walk a few hundred meters towards the Baltic Sea and you are in front of a staircase that leads down to the beach. But of course you can also walk up directly along the cliffs. But be careful, not too close to the slope.
However, most visitors to the Stohl cliffs are drawn directly to the beach, i.e. down the wooden stairs. When the weather is good, the parking lot, which can accommodate around 60 vehicles, is well filled and numerous walkers can be found on the Baltic Sea beach. But of course not as many as on a sunny weekend at the Kiellinie.
