Holstenstraße: Deichmann branch will close in January 2022 and will ensure further vacancies in the upper Holstenstraße from the middle of the month.
The exodus of shops in Holstenstenstraße will continue in 2022. After Foot Locker had already closed its doors in Holstenstraße for good last December, Deichmann, another shoe store from Holstenstraße, will soon say goodbye. There are already many empty shops, especially in the upper Holstenstraße in the direction of Alter Markt and Nikolaikirche. With Deichmann at Holstenstraße 14-16, another well-known name is now following. The Deichmann branch will be open for the last time next Wednesday, January 12th, 2022.
But of course Deichmann is not saying goodbye to Kiel completely. After the branch at Holstenstraße 14-16 has been closed, there will still be two branches, in the Sophienhof shopping center (Sophienblatt 20) and in CITTI-PARK Kiel (Mühlendamm 1). There is also a Deichmann branch in Schwentinental (Mergenthalerstraße 11).
There is currently no information regarding the subsequent use of the shop space in Holstenstrasse after Deichmann has moved out. According to Kiel Marketing, however, further details about future usage options are to be announced in the middle of the month.
