Corona: Holidaymakers in Sweden have to go into quarantine at home for 14 days after returning from Sweden and are also obliged to inform the health department.
Anyone who is resident in Schleswig-Holstein and is now returning to Schleswig-Holstein from Sweden must go home immediately after arrival and without detours and go into quarantine at home for 14 days. This could particularly affect those returning from Sweden who arrive in Kiel on the Stena Line ferry from Gothenburg. The basis for this order is a corresponding state ordinance of the state government in Kiel.
Sweden exceeds the limit for new corona infections
The reason for this measure is the increased number of newly infected people in Sweden, which has risen to over 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants within the past seven days. Once at home, people from Schleswig-Holstein must inform the responsible health authority about their return from Sweden. The next step is binding requirements from the health department, which depend on the respective state of health of those affected.
