Picture gallery Prinz-Heinrich-Bridge new traffic routing & opening of the bridge for traffic from December 7th, 2022 after a week-long closure.
Good news for motorists who have to drive over the Holtenauer Hochbrücken: since December 7th, traffic has been rolling over the Prinz-Heinrich-Bridge again, albeit with restrictions. After about a week of full closure of both Holtenau high bridges (Olympic Bridge, direction of travel north and the Prince Heinrich Bridge, direction of travel south) vehicles up to 3.5 tons can finally drive over the Prince Heinrich Bridge again. Everything was prepared for the opening of the bridge on Tuesday, including setting up the new traffic routing. And on Wednesday morning at 6 a.m. it started, cars could cross the bridge again. The bridge is now open to traffic daily from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m., one lane in each direction now leads over the Prinz-Heinrich-Bridge and a speed limit of 50 km/h applies.
