Schönberg Beach is located in the municipality of Schönberg in the Probstei district of Plön on the Bay of Kiel. Schönberg and its beaches are around 20 kilometers north-east of Kiel and can be easily reached from Kiel via the B 502 federal highway.

Adjacent to the west of Schönbeg Beach are the districts of Brazil and California with the beach sections of Brazil and California of the same name.

With around 423,000 overnight stays and around 71,000 holiday guests per year, the Baltic Sea resort of Schönberg is an important tourist community in the Plön district.

Dog beaches

There are a total of three dog beaches in Schönberg available to dog owners. The dog beach is on Schönberg Beach at level 41, in Brazil at 32 and on the beach in California east of 26.
