Opening of Kiel Week 2021 on September 4, 2021 in Schilksee on Saturday afternoon on the stage in front of the Olympic Center at the Olympic Port in Schilksee.
The official opening of the Kiel Week 2021 will not take place on the Rathausplatz in Kiel, as is usually the case, but in Schilksee between 3.15 p.m. and 3.45 p.m.
Kiel Week opening without Corona:
The official opening of the Kiel Week usually takes place at 7.30 p.m. on the Rathausplatz. Several thousand spectators take part in the opening ceremony on the town hall stage every year.
The Kiel Week will be opened by Kiel’s Lord Mayor (Ulf Kaempfer), the Prime Minister (Daniel Günther), the City President (Hans-Werner Tovar) and a guest, a person from business, politics or sport.
