Robert Habeck, Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, on an election campaign tour in Kiel together with Monika Heinold, the Green Party’s top candidate. and Lasse Petersdotter, deputy leader of the Greens in Schleswig-Holstein. Because on May 8th, 2022 there will be elections in Schleswig-Holstein. Monika Heinold has been Minister of Finance in Schleswig-Holstein since 2012 and is the Greens’ top candidate in the upcoming state elections in Schleswig-Holstein. On Thursday, starting at 6 p.m., Robert Habeck and Monika Heinold wanted to talk to the citizens and talk about ideas, challenges and other topics. But things may have turned out differently than Robert Habeck and Monika Heinold thought: On the one hand, the small number of spectators on Blücherplatz was a bit surprising. One would have thought that more people would come to Blücherplatz when the Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection and the Deputy Chancellor came to Kiel.<\/p>\n

And a not inconsiderable number of spectators had apparently only come to the event hosted by Robert Habeck and Monika Heinold on Kiel’s Blücherplatz to protest. Sometimes loudly with whistles, ratchets, horns and other objects. And sometimes with bizarre messages and demands on the signs and posters they brought with them. Or, of course, with clear messages on clothing, including, for example, “Unvaccinated” on the back of a high-visibility vest.<\/p>\n

Those who stood a little further away did not really hear anything of the actual discussion and the speeches by Robert Habeck, Lasse Petersdotter and Monika Heinold due to the noise level of the spectators, but that was probably what most of the spectators wanted…<\/p>\n
