Winter 2021 in Kiel at the fjord: Olympic center in Schilksee<\/a> and bathing beach in February with sunshine and ice just a few days after storm Tristan.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Glorious sunshine in mid-February at the Schilksee Olympic Center, Schilksee Beach<\/a> and the Kiel Fjord<\/a>. On this Sunday afternoon, you could almost forget that exactly a week ago, storm Tristan had caused high water, flooding and an ice-cold east wind. Just a few days ago it looked very different here in Schilksee<\/a><\/strong>.<\/p>\n

But you can still clearly see the effects of the last winter storm, because for example the stone mole on the beach is still covered with a white ice cap. And on the railings and lanterns near the water there is also a sometimes thick layer of ice. In addition there are blue skies today and sunshine at the weekend. However, the sunshine is a bit deceptive, because the temperatures are slightly below zero, but very pleasant because there is almost no wind.<\/p>\n
