Sales plans of the shipyard division rejected: ThyssenKrupp will not sell the Kiel shipyard TKMS after all.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Kiel shipyard ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems (TKMS) will not be offered for sale to other European armaments companies as was planned about a month ago. The Essen-based industrial group ThyssenKrupp AG, parent company of the Kiel shipyard TKMS, has decided not to part with the shipyard division. ThyssenKrupp is obviously assuming that TKMS will also benefit from the new development regarding the modernization of the German armed forces. Because with the multi-billion dollar special fund for the Bundeswehr, two new submarines could also be commissioned for the Bundeswehr.<\/p>\n

TKMS: Leading European system provider for naval vessels and submarines with a good order situation<\/h2>\n

Even before the start of the war in the Ukraine, the Kiel shipyard, with around 3,600 employees and annual sales of around two billion euros, had a good order situation. Multi-billion dollar contracts to build several new submarines for Germany, Norway and Israel were completed. Most recently, the last ship of a total of four corvettes with stealth technology was handed over to the Israeli Navy last year.<\/p>\n

Overall, the location of the Kiel shipyard on the east bank of the Kiel Fjord<\/a> looks very good. Due to orders from Germany and abroad with a total volume of over 14 billion euros, the shipyard will be fully utilized until 2034. Due to the extremely positive development of the order situation, ThyssenKrupp Marine Systems had given its employees a job guarantee until 2029 some time ago.<\/p>\n
