On Easter Saturday, after a two-year Corona break, an Easter bonfire took place in Kiel-Suchsdorf in the state capital of Kiel. The Suchsdorf Easter fire was organized by the two volunteer fire brigades Suchsdorf and Rönne. It started at 6.30 p.m. in Suchsdorf on the meadow right next to the fire station on Nienbrügger Weg.<\/p>\n

Several thousand visitors from Kiel and the surrounding area came to Suchsdorf on Easter Saturday to watch the Easter bonfire. At the fire station there was grilled sausage, stick bread and drinks. There were sometimes long queues at the stands at the equipment house of the Kiel-Suchsdorf volunteer fire brigade. If you wanted a bratwurst, a beer or another drink, you had to be patient.<\/p>\n

Sunshine and a good mood at the Easter bonfire in Suchsdorf on April 16, 2022<\/h2>\n

There were probably several reasons why so many visitors came to Suchsdorf for the Easter fire. On the one hand, there had been no Easter fires in Kiel in the last two years due to the corona. And the weather on Easter Saturday was just right this year to spend a few hours at the Easter bonfire or on the grounds of the Suchsdorf volunteer fire brigade in Nienbrügger Weg. No rain but sunshine and 12 degrees on Saturday. In the evening it got a little cooler.<\/p>\n

In addition, there were not very many alternatives in the area around Kiel to the Easter fire in Suchsdorf on Saturday. In addition to the Easter bonfire in Suchsdorf, Easter bonfires also took place on Easter Saturday in Schwentinental, Preetz, Bad Malente and in Olpenitz and Karby near the mouth of the Schlei.<\/p>\n
