Today the time had finally come and the official Kiel Week opening took place. However, this year in Schilksee and without spectators. The opening was broadcast live on large screens in the <a href=\"https:\/\/welovekiel.com\/en\/lexicon\/schlossgarten-experience-and-cinema-area\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Schlossgarten adventure and cinema area<\/a> and on the <a href=\"https:\/\/welovekiel.com\/en\/lexicon\/town-hall-square-experience-cinema-area\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" Thousands of spectators are usually in the Rathausplatz when the Kieler Woche opens at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. At least that&rsquo;s how it was last time at the <a title=\"Official opening of the 125th Kiel Week on the Rathausplatz\" href=\"https:\/\/welovekiel.com\/de\/offizielle-eroeffnung-kieler-woche-2019-rathausplatz-1467\/\">Kiel Week Opening 2019<\/a> on the Rathausplatz in Kiel.
