The cliffs near Stohl north of Kiel are one of the most beautiful cliffs in the vicinity of the state capital Kiel. It has now been around three months since the severe Baltic Sea storm surge, which caused millions in damage to the Baltic Sea in October 2023. However, the damage is still omnipresent. The wooden stairs to the beach were completely destroyed in the storm surge. You can’t get down to the beach here at the moment. And the small path along the edge is closed because large parts of the cliff have broken off and it is too dangerous to walk there.<\/p>\n

The Stohl Baltic Sea cliff is located in the municipality of Schwedeneck between Kiel and Eckernförde in the Danish Wohld. The cliffs in Stohl can be reached quickly from Kiel; it takes around 15-20 minutes by car.<\/p>\n<\/div>
