The <a href=\"https:\/\/welovekiel.com\/en\/lexicon\/lighthouse-friedrichsort\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Friedrichsort lighthouse<\/a> is also located here.<\/p>\n<p>At Neum&uuml;hlen-Dietrichsdorf on the east bank, the river Schwentine flows into the fjord. In Kiel-Holtenau on the west bank are the locks of the <a href=\"https:\/\/welovekiel.com\/en\/lexicon\/kiel-canal\/\" target=\"_self\" title=\"\" class=\"encyclopedia\">Kiel Canal<\/a> (NOK; international name Kiel Canal, until 1948 in Germany Kaiser Wilhelm Canal).
